Favourite Photos of Ashton 2007/2008

Ashton turns three and is madly into Lightning McQueen from the movie 'Cars'. He wore his Lightning McQueen t-shirt for his big day and he was really excited about his Lightning McQueen cake.

Ashton puts on a Santa Hat as he joins in a Santa Parade for Tony's work (New Zealand Blood Service). All the kids sat in a trailor and were towed along as they waved to the crowds standing on the sidewalk.

Ashton has spent hours and hours over the past year playing in the shower. He loves playing with toys in the water and stays in the shower until all the hot water is gone. He plays lots of games with his toys (i.e. has car races, pretends the boats are sinking, the crocodiles are eating each other, etc.) and he is always talking to himself and using different voices.

Ashton had a blast getting the hose out and making the grass all muddy at our apartment. The boys made a mud slide and Ashton and Hayden had so much fun laughing and squealing as they kept sliding in the mud. Tony and I were nervous we'd get into trouble with the landlord or other tenants for letting the boys be so noisy and destroy the grass, but fortunately no one said anything. The little Korean girl next to Ashton (Sehyeon-pronounced Say on) has been Ashton's best friend and play buddy for the past year. Sehyeon giggled and squealed over going down the mud slide and wasn't afraid to get dirty, even though her mother wasn't too happy about her nice white top being covered in mud. It took AGES to wash all the dirt out of the boys clothes. Now that we live in a house Ashton really misses Sehyeon since she use to hang out at our apartment every day, but she still comes over once a week.

This photo is so funny! Ashton has attempted to put on his own underwear with no assistance. He's been successful since he's actually got them on, but he's oblivious to the fact that they're inside out and the waistline is around his butt! I couldn't resist taking the photo!

Ashton walking into the supermarket quietly whispers to himself: "Please can I have macaroni and cheese, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

Ashton: "I want to live with Jesus." Mummy: "Why?" Ashton: "Because he be nice to me and he gives me bread and water!"

Mummy, examining Ashton's legs, and thinking: My goodness, what hairy legs. Ashton, unimpressed with Mummy's examination, pulls away: "Don't touch them. I'm growing Daddy legs!"

Hayden gets upset at Ashton: "Right Ashton, that's it! I'm telling Jesus on you!"

Ashton with a cold: "I'm snotty as a piggy."

Hayden: "The sun is burning my eyeballs."

Hayden: "Mummy, how come your penis is missing?"

Hayden: "I get the bigger piece of cake because my skeleton is bigger."

Hayden (3yrs old) sees me get dressed in the morning and stares at my breasts with a confused look..."What thooooose be for???"

Hayden: "I don't want to finish my pizza, it's got blood all over it."

Hayden: "Ashton hit me in the heart."

Hayden learns the planets at Preschool: Mercury, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Penus!
