No More Curls & Missing Teeth

Noah got his first haircut and did not like the experience at all. He was unhappy about the whole event before it even started! I couldn't get him to sit on his own in the hairdressers chair so he sat on my lap and we both got cloaks around our necks. When the hairdresser started cutting, Noah looked at himself in the mirror and cried streams of tears for the whole 10 minutes it took to give him a trim. And I really do mean streams of tears! The boys got so worried about his crying that they rushed to the car to get his dummy, but it didn't help - all Noah wanted was to be off the chair and out of the shop. Fortunately, the hairdresser was well experienced and wasn't phased by Noah being upset. In fact, I've never seen a hairdresser cut hair so fast and yet do such a nice job. To make things even more difficult for the hairdresser I kept telling him, "Not too short, not too short". I hate it every time I get my boys' haircut for the very first time because when I see those beautiful soft baby curls being cut off I feel as if I'm loosing my baby. It's an awful feeling. Anyway, thanks to a good hairdresser Noah has a nice new haircut. In the photo below he is showing off his 'new hair'.

Noah has become our family parrot as he repeats the same word over and over and over AND OVER. We are just about going bonkers hearing him say BARNEY one hundred times a day. He has recently gone barney crazy and is addicted to watching Barney videos. Nevertheless, it is adorable to watch Noah clap with excitement and dance around when Barney comes on the TV.

During the holidays Hayden had his friend Alexander over to play and after many hours of playing outside in the paddling pool they took a very very long hot shower (til there was no hot water left). They completely shampooed themselves from head to toe and had fun getting water all over the entire bathroom (Mummy had fun using lots of towels to soak all the water up).

Hayden also had his friend, Alec over, and they also played in the paddling pool and used all the hot water in the shower. While Alec was here Hayden lost his second front tooth by wiggling it with his tongue. Alec badly wanted to be like Hayden and have his tooth come out to, so he asked me if I had any tools in the garage to take it out! Fortunately, the tooth fairy remembered to come this time, however, the tooth got washed down the kitchen sink before the fairy came. Hayden and Alec;
