Hayden's Primary Talk

Hayden gave a talk in Primary last Sunday. It was only his second time giving a talk. His topic was how his family can be blessed by the Holy Ghost. We wrote the talk together and I asked Hayden lots of questions and tried to get as much 'out of him' as possible. He did a good job of delivering it and took it seriously. He spoke clearly and tried his best to read most of his talk. He made such a good effort that we made a cake for him after church. He knew beforehand that he would get a cake if he did well...food is always such a great incentive for boys! I was a little afraid that once it was time to stand in front of the podium he would get shy or act silly, but he must have been picturing the cake in his head!

THE HOLY GHOST CAN BLESS ME AND MY FAMILY

The Holy Ghost is a little voice that whispers to you, or a good feeling in your heart. The Holy Ghost talks to you when you say a prayer, when you're sad and when you need to make a good decision.
The Holy Ghost can help me, and also my mum and dad, and my two brothers Ashton and Noah.
One time the Holy Ghost helped me and Ashton to feel better. We were really sad when our friends Alex and Sehyeon moved to Korea. The Holy Ghost helped us not to be too sad and it helped us to make new friends.
My Dad works for New Zealand Blood. The Holy Ghost can help my dad at work by helping him to find people who want to give blood and save people's lives.
The Holy Ghost can help my mum by telling her what to do when she doesn't know what to do.
The Holy Ghost can bless and help me and my family, and everyone in Primary, if we remember to listen to the little whisper and choose the right.

I didn't know you also believe in the Holy Spirit - well I guess all christians do, but some christians/churches believe He is more 'active' and manifests Himself more, than others.

Gian reckons he has seen Jesus AND God in his bedroom one night. He also thinks he's seen a tall black shadowy figure of a man in our house twice!! ewwwww. He also saw an 'angel' at a friends house when he was two. I'll tell you about it next time ..

Funny Comments

Ashton walking into the supermarket quietly whispers to himself: "Please can I have macaroni and cheese, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

Ashton: "I want to live with Jesus." Mummy: "Why?" Ashton: "Because he be nice to me and he gives me bread and water!"

Mummy, examining Ashton's legs, and thinking: My goodness, what hairy legs. Ashton, unimpressed with Mummy's examination, pulls away: "Don't touch them. I'm growing Daddy legs!"

Hayden gets upset at Ashton: "Right Ashton, that's it! I'm telling Jesus on you!"

Ashton with a cold: "I'm snotty as a piggy."

Hayden: "The sun is burning my eyeballs."

Hayden: "Mummy, how come your penis is missing?"

Hayden: "I get the bigger piece of cake because my skeleton is bigger."

Hayden (3yrs old) sees me get dressed in the morning and stares at my breasts with a confused look..."What thooooose be for???"

Hayden: "I don't want to finish my pizza, it's got blood all over it."

Hayden: "Ashton hit me in the heart."

Hayden learns the planets at Preschool: Mercury, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Penus!

Hayden (shopping with me and whining): "My brain hurts forever because you haven't buyed me anything."
