I haven't lost interest in my blog, it's simply that I can never get to the computer. Tony has been out of work for a month now and hence on the computer all the time looking for jobs. He has his FIRST interview this Tuesday...FINGERS CROSSED it goes well. He's applied for so many jobs and this is the first 'positive' response.
Life has been extra busy having Tony home the past few weeks and Hayden on school holidays....right now I can't recall at all what we've been up to. Simply surviving all that has been going on has been a mission in itself!
We were very sad to say goodbye to our second student, Hitomi, this week. She was the loveliest, sweetest, girl and the boys loved her even more than Miyuki. She gave them continuous piggy backs, adored everything they did, never seemed bothered by all the noise they made and was soooo helpful to me; picking up toys, dressing the kids, cleaning up the kitchen etc. She loved cuddling Noah and Ashton on the couch, and she even went to church with us every Sunday! She always called Tony "Daddy" and me "Mummy" even though she knew our names. We're not sure why she left us because she didn't seem very happy about going, but we have a little bit of hope that she might come back to us. Our house has felt empty the past couple of days without her. Of course the timing of her leaving has been really bad because we so badly needed the income as well, but as they say; when it rains, it pours!
Noah got the chicken pox this past week, but fortunately it's been a fairly mild dose. Strangely his private parts and back got the majority of the spots, but only 5days later and they are almost all gone. We are just sitting tight waiting to see if Hayden and Ashton get them as niether of them have had it before. Many Kiwi's have a very relaxed attitude of 'whatever will be will be' and I certainly got that attitude towards exposing Noah to other children. I still choose to take Noah out and about this week (since he has been his normal self 100 percent-happy, playing, eating, sleeping) and when I would warn parents not to let their child get close to Noah, no one seemed fased or bothered at all by his chicken pox, or their children being around him.
Well, seems like my time is up. Tony is now calling me to come and put Noah to bed, change his smelly nappy and do a variety of other chores that he could do for himself. I love my wonderful husband!
